Compati

We are a conscientious outreach philanthropic movement, prioritizing service delivery mechanisms while involving and engaging with the development sector. We share our innovative ideas and learnings while networking effectively beyond just traditional giving concepts thus creating a platform towards recognizing the depth of social and organizational culture. We facilitate social responsibility, accountability and transparency; empowering minds of integrity in an urban culture co-existing within a world of poverty.  We believe that philanthropy exists inside one’s subconscious mind and can spark conscious actions of effective volunteering. COMPATI in its truest form means compassion, and we are here together as like-minded individuals to empathize with sufferings of the poor, marginalized and socially deprived communities; to love, endure, support and help our downtrodden brethren all through our journey on the road less traveled.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Guns & Guitars has taken over 5 years to be completed. Since it hit the festival circuit in September 2016, the film has been already selected for 10 International Film Festivals including the prestigious Indian Panorama section of IFFI 2016, Goa and also rated as one of the top 100 documentaries of the year by Color Tape International Film Festival – considered the largest festival of the Southern Hemisphere. It has also won an award in the well known Tourism Film Festival at Lisbon, Portugal Finisterra Arrabida Film Art & Tourism Festival.

Compati has its priority objective to leverage this evocative documentary film and expose educational institutions and the thousands of impressionable young minds including corporate India, think tanks and any other relevant constituency to learn and understand the rich and diverse culture and the socio-political matrix, to the enigma engaged within the north eastern states of India. We believe that this film has the spirit of character formation and shall holistically impact socio-cultural transformation and conscientious change.
